Monogenic diabetes is distinct and challenging area for diabetes research. Recently developed techniques enables to discover new genes causing MODY. In this session, four outstanding researchers present topics on MODY. First speaker, Pf. Shepherd, will introduce the experience on research for identifying monogenic diabetes. Pf. Kwak will give us interesting results on targeted exome sequencing for monogenic diabetes in Koreans. Dr. Torh Yorifuji will present new features on MODY based on the Japanese data. Finally, Professor Choi will present diverse etiologic spectrum and clinical characteristics of monogenic diabetes. This session will give an informative and up-to-date knowledge in MODY.
